Bringing Financing for Online Businesses to the next level

Fulfin is pioneering financing for online businesses across Europe. They help businesses that are ready to scale, providing them with the resources based on their needs. We had the pleasure to work with the Fulfin team in a 4 UX-design week sprint. In the process, we re-designed the platform experience (responsive web application) and user interface and working on new features.

WEEK RESEARCH

Before we officially start a sprint, we at Bonanza, do our own research. We look at the stronger competitors on the market and understand where our client stands. We also look at all existing research previously done by our client and quickly become experts with the market and requirements.

1

WEEK DEFINE

We officially kicked off the project with a 3-hour workshop with the Fulfin stakeholders. We fetched and discussed the requirements based on their needs and our expertise, we discussed buyer's personas, prioritized possible features and user flows. The Fulfin team provided us with low-fidelity prototypes based on their vision. We combined their ideas with our research and expertise and created a concept. The concept had to improve the existing user experience of applying for a loan as a small business. On top of that, we designed new features such as: keeping track of the loan application, communication between Fulfin and small businesses, opening multiple loans, and receiving guidance on how to get the best loan offer.

2

WEEK PROTOTYPE

Once we had the concept in place, we started the mid-fidelity prototyping in Figma. Week 2 is all about working closely with the stakeholders, as we were defining all user flows and features more and more clearly. We ended up having 4 iterations of the prototypes until we had a solid version that we could go further with. Approaching the end of the week, we also prepared a mood board of possible UI styles and illustration directions.

3

WEEK DESIGN

Once we had the mid-fidelity prototypes approved, as well as the UI style, we went into the next phase: Designing the high-fidelity screens for the responsive web application (desktop and mobile).

Conclusion

After launching the platform, Fulfin was able to decrease completion time by more than a day from 5.1 days to 3.6 days.
